Women Empowerment :: SHG Promotion

SHG Promotion(2007-2008)

We have promoted 151 women self help groups in Kishorenagar and Athmallik blocks of Angul district for the purpose to make them socially, politically and economically empower. We have taken up various social issues and make them materialized among them in order to make them self reliable. And raised savings and promoted micro credit among the members to make them economically self reliant.  The following is the status of women SHGs promoted by us.

We have promoted 180 women self help groups in Kishorenagar and Athmallik blocks of Angul district for the purpose to make them socially, politically and economically empower. We have taken up various social issues and make them materialized among them in order to make them self reliable. And raised savings and promoted micro credit among the members to make them economically self reliant.  The following is the status of women SHGs promoted by us.

We have also provided technical support to 48 SHGs in Chhendipada block under OFSD program. All the groups will be given one lakh rupees towards Income generation activities. 18 lakhs ruppes has already been kept with Van Sarakshan Samity  for SHGs provided by the project authority.

We have also promoted gram panchayat level federations among the SHGs in 6 different places of Kishorenagar block who  sit quarterly and work on the issues related to women and empowerment.
